New Perspective’s Vivid Living service aims to meet the needs of senior individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), a neurological condition characterized by a decline in cognitive functions like memory and thinking. An individual with MCI is said to be at risk of dementia.

While the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not currently have an approved medical treatment for MCI, neurological experts still recommend various coping strategies that help delay the progression of MCI to dementia. These activities include exercising and participating in social activities. Exercising has proven to be beneficial to the heart and blood vessels, thereby providing the brain with sufficient nourishment. Additionally, socially engaging activities are said to be mentally stimulating, which may help maintain brain function.
